On September 13th, 2022, Interligne announced the possible closure of its nighttime help and information service, due to a lack of recurring funding from the Government of Quebec. This announcement marked the beginning of a public campaign to raise public and government awareness of the organization's essential role in mental health. This contribution is not currently recognized by the Programme de soutien aux organismes communautaires (PSOC), the only global mission support program accessible to community health and social services organizations.

While the campaign haven't had the desired effect on the government, it did let us know the real impact of the work accomplished by our nighttime intervention team. Indeed, LGBTQ+ people, relatives and people from different intervention backgrounds took the time to give us their testimonies and moral or financial support.

The support received from all sides gave Interligne the means to continue its efforts until March 31, 2023. Thus, the organization launched the One night at a time fundraising campaign. This campaign was designed to address the challenge of non-recurring funding to maintain a service. Until a permanent solution is possible, Interligne will rely on donations received to extend its night service.
